I am a Gay Skeptic Turtle.

Since this is my first post and all, I should tell you a little bit about myself and the purpose of the blog. I am a senior in high school. I enjoy seafood, long walks on the beach, running, evolution, video gamming, paintball, skepticism, swimming and other outdoorsy things. I was introduced to skepticism through blogs and podcats. I hope to open someone else’s eyes with my blog. I live in what most would call the Bible belt. It’s not the best place to be for freethinking lesbian. I am selectively out of the closet and only my close friends and parents know I am gay. This is why I have decided to blog anonymously.

As for this blog I hope to use it to educate people on science and skepticism. I will be calling shenanigans on alternative medicine, debunking bullshit conspiracies, and promoting good discussion.

I humbly welcome you all to my journey on my H.M.S. Beagle of life.

  1. Most excellent, but you’re a lesbian therefore I can not let you be accepted into polite society and will call you disparaging names when possible, but given your kind request that I don’t call you a certain disparaging word publicly, I will not do so.

The disparaging word still pertains, you [insert disparaging word].

  2. Why thank you Elles. I am glad that you restrained yourself from calling me a faggot.
